We’ve been working on paragraph development during our writer’s workshop timeframe.  Do you remember the old “4square” method?  Yes, I’ve been around awhile. No more 4 square...the idea that is so prevalent out in education today is using the idea that a paragraph is made up of specific ingredients, kind of like a hamburger!  I’ve used smartboard lessons from smart exchange for a few years now, relating to this hamburger idea for paragraph writing.  This year, I found a great resource packet on pinterest and the kids loved it! …Ofcourse, the McDonald McDouble’s probably didn’t hurt the student engagement!
